Famed personal injury attorneys Cellino & Barnes, who are finalizing their messy divorce, have announced the names of their new law firms — but they don’t roll off the tongue like their infectious “don’t wait, call 8” jingle.

Ross Cellino will now be top dog at Cellino Law, and soon-to-be-ex-partner Steve Barnes is going with The Barnes Firm, according to WIVB-News in Buffalo.

The protracted split, which should wrap up in the coming months, began in 2017 when Cellino accused his law partner of poaching his clients.

A court document filed this week in Erie County Supreme Court lays out the final steps in the dissolution of the firm, with Judge Deborah Chimes establishing a Feb. 24 deadline to set up a timetable for the new firms to open, WKBW-TV reported.

The public feud between the two legal eagles gained so much notoriety that it spawned an off-Broadway production last summer.

Still up in the air is the fate of the firm’s easy-to-remember (800) 888-8888 phone number and accompanying ad jingle.
