A Philadelphia cellphone store worker will not be charged for shooting dead a suspected armed robber, according to authorities.

Dramatic video footage trumpeted by the NRA showed the suspect holding a handgun wearing a hood as she strolled into a Metro PCS store last week, throwing something onto the employee’s desk.

The store worker almost immediately reaches for his own handgun — dropping the suspect with his first shot and with other footage showing him firing several times as he was motionless on the ground.

“I heard about 10 shots and I got out (of) the car to look around and I saw the guy that works there run out of the store with a gun in his hand,” a witness told FOX29.

The unidentified employee, who had a permit to carry a firearm, will not face criminal charges, the District Attorney’s Office and Police Department said, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Fox. He has not been identified pending family notification, the Inquirer said.
