A North Carolina mom shot and killed her daughter on Thanksgiving night, reports said.
Police found Chante Lavarche Alexander, 37, in an apartment complex with a gunshot wound at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, after responding to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon.
She was pronounced dead a short time later at a nearby hospital, Fox8 News reported.
The victim’s mother, Elvira Elizabeth Alexander, 56, was arrested at the home.
Investigators have not said what prompted the violence, according to the Charlotte Observer, which was called “domestic-related.” The investigation is ongoing.
