Jessica Chastain easily outmuscled Arnold Schwarzenegger over the weekend, topping the box office with her supernatural horror film, “Mama,” and the Oscar-nominated Osama bin Laden hunt thriller, “Zero Dark Thirty.”

No. 1 “Mama” opened well above expectations, topping $28.1 million, according to yesterday’s studio estimates. Chastain also held the second spot with “Zero Dark Thirty,” which took in $17.6 million in its second weekend of wide release.

Schwarzenegger’s action flick “The Last Stand” opened in 10th place, with just $6.3 million.
