WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized President Obama Sunday for placing too many limits on the Pentagon’s efforts to fight ISIS.
“It’s half a loaf, it’s pinpricks,” Cheney told host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable.” “It’s not a very effective military operation at this point.”
Cheney blamed Obama’s halfhearted fight against ISIS for the problems in Iraq.
“I’ve tried for a long time to understand what makes [Obama] tick. And, frankly, I don’t know,” he said.
Obama, speaking in Germany Sunday before a G-7 meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron, said he’ll be assessing “what’s working [and] what’s not, and how we can continue to make progress” against ISIS.
