The California college professor who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were in high school has finished her testimony before a Senate panel Thursday afternoon.

Christine Blasey Ford was on the hot seat for about three hours, and the Senate Judiciary Committee recessed several times during her testimony, which began at 10 a.m. and finished about 2:15 p.m.

Ford charged that one night in the summer of 1982, a plastered Kavanaugh forced her down on a bed, groped her and tried to take off her clothes before she was able to flee.

Ford testified that she was “100 percent” sure that Kavanaugh was responsible after others questioned whether it was a case of mistaken identity.

Lawmakers are expected to next hear from Kavanaugh, who has denied the allegations.
