The California wrestling coach who allegedly ran off with a missing 16-year-old student has been arrested, according to officials.
Phillip Maglaya, a Franklin High School coach, was located with the teen girl Thursday at a Stockton home after police received an anonymous tip, news station KTXL reported.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said the 25-year-old coach and teen were allegedly involved in a “romantic relationship.”
The teen girl appeared in good health and was returned to her parents, authorities said.
Maglaya was booked at the San Joaquin County Jail on numerous charges including child endangerment, child abduction and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
