MOSCOW — Edward Snowden has not yet formally accepted asylum in Venezuela, the WikiLeaks site reported yesterday.

Any asylum decision will be announced by the “states concerned” and “then be confirmed by us,” WikiLeaks said via Twitter.

The claim followed a tweet posted, and then deleted, by a Russian lawmaker saying Snowden had accepted an asylum offer from Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
