One of the creeps convicted in the sex assaults and murders of a mother and her two daughters during a home invasion in Connecticut tried to kill himself in prison, authorities said.

Department of Correction spokeswoman Karen Martucci said Joshua Komisarjevsky tried to hang himself on Aug. 18, shortly after he and his accomplice, Steven Hayes, were transferred to the Camp Hill Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania.

Martucci says Komisarjevsky didn’t require medical attention outside the prison and is receiving mental-health treatment.

The men were convicted of the 2007 murders of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters at their Cheshire home. The husband, Dr. William Petit, survived.
