A construction worker accused of videotaping unwitting men in locker rooms at YMCAs in Connecticut is facing new charges after allegedly capturing a cop in one of the recordings.

Leonidas Torres-Cabrera, 30, of Naugatuck, has been charged with voyeurism with malice and disorderly conduct in connection to incidents in Waterbury, Southington and Fairfield, the Connecticut Post reports.

Police in Southington said Torres-Cabrera was arrested in February after a man who was drying himself off at a YMCA locker room spotted him recording videos inside the facility. Detectives then searched Torres-Cabrera’s phone and found videos of men nude or partially clothed inside locker rooms.

Torres-Cabrera was later charged in Waterbury after investigators determined that some of the footage was taken inside the city’s YMCA.

Police in Fairfield were later contacted by Southington investigators who were trying to determine the location depicted in another recording on Torres-Cabrera’s phone. That led to a surprise revelation when police in Fairfield recognized one of the men in the recording as a police officer in its department, the Connecticut Post reports.

Police said the recording was taken inside a YMCA in Fairfield in January. The officer who was caught on camera, meanwhile, was not identified.
