The Chicago cop who fatally shot a 19-year-old college student and accidentally killed the teen’s 55-year-old neighbor has filed suit against the teen’s estate.

Officer Robert Rialmo’s countersuit blames Northern Illinois University sophomore Quintonio LeGrier for the Dec. 26 shootings. By repeatedly swinging a baseball bat at the officer, LeGrier caused the deaths of himself and Bettie Jones and caused the cop “extreme emotional trauma,” the suit claims.

The families of LeGrier and Jones are suing the city.

A LeGrier lawyer blasted the “temerity” of the suing cop and called his suit “outlandish.”
