A young Nashville nurse was stabbed to death by a random intruder — and cops are scouring the city for the killer, according to reports.

Tiffany Ferguson, 23, who worked at a nearby hospital, was discovered bloodied and covered in stab wounds by her roommate around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday morning, The Tennessean reported.

Police brought Ferguson to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video from outside her apartment shows a man walking up to cars and checking to see if they were unlocked.

He then entered the apartment building and looked for apartments that were unlocked, and found Ferguson’s, the paper reported.

He’s seen coming out of the house with valuables and reentering shortly after.

Police believe that’s when the stabbing occurred.
