An 80-year-old gunman was found dead Thursday after he fatally shot a woman and wounded a man in a San Francisco suburb, authorities said.

The shooting took place at an apartment complex in Marin County, Calif., at around 3:30 p.m. local time, according to ABC7-TV.

“The scene is an apartment complex with two victims that have been taken from the scene by deputies to medical personnel,” the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter.

Cops later discovered the elderly shooter dead inside another apartment in the complex. It wasn’t clear how the shooter died.

The two victims were a father and his adult daughter, who were landlords of the apartment complex, a witness told KNTV. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the woman died, officials said.
