Arizona authorities investigating the abduction of NBC star Savannah Guthrie’s mom are still holding out hope that she’s alive and that they can rescue her, the sheriff revealed.
“We have nothing else to go on but the belief that she is here, she’s present, she’s alive, and we want to save her,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC during an interview.
The strong message came as the desperate search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie stretched into its fourth day.

At least three separate possible ransom notes containing chilling details about Nancy’s abduction and demanding millions of dollars worth of bitcoin in exchange for her safe return were reportedly sent to news organizations on Tuesday, although their exact contents have not been released publicly.
Nancy was reported missing early Sunday after she failed to show up at church. She was last seen by her son-in-law, who dropped her off at her Tucson, Arizona home around 9:45 p.m. Saturday evening, authorities have said.
Drops of blood, signs of forced entry, and a struggle were found at the million-dollar home – as well as a life-saving medication that Nancy requires daily, law enforcement sources previously told The Post.
