More people have now been felled by the coronavirus in New York City than were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
The grim milestone was reached Tuesday, when the Big Apple saw its biggest one-day jump in fatalities from the virus, pushing the death toll to 3,202.
“Each passing day brings more tragedy and this is one of the hardest yet,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
