A City Council push for higher police disability benefits has gained significant support over the last month, Councilwoman Liz Crowley said Wednesday.
The resolution had only 20 backers in November. But since two cops were killed last month and two more shot on Monday, support has grown to 36, she said.
Mayor de Blasio said Wednesday he has “serious reservations” about Crowley’s measure.
