Workers at a Midtown rally waiting to hear Gov. Cuomo promote his proposal to raise the minimum wage got a surprise Thursday when rocker Jon Bon Jovi also showed up.

“Raising the wage is about fairness,” the singer, a Cuomo supporter, told about 150 cheering members of the hotel-workers union at their West 44th Street headquarters.

Cuomo is pushing for a $10.50 minimum wage and $11.50 in New York City.

The current statewide minimum is $8.75.

After the hourlong rally, Cuomo said he’s not out to achieve income equality but “the opportunity to actually earn more money.”

“We don’t believe that we should have a system of equal income, of equalized income,” Cuomo said.

“Income inequality also doesn’t work because it suggests you don’t like the rich people. And that’s not true — we aspire to wealth. I hope my kids are millionaires.

“Acquisition of wealth is a good thing, right? It’s the American dream — it’s why people came here.”
