An Indiana couple who found a lost dog were searching for the pup’s owner when they stumbled on an elderly man who had lain helpless for at least two days before he was discovered.
The pair of good Samaritans ran into the wandering pup on National Dog Day after she broke free from her chain Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
While the two went house to house looking for the dog’s owner, they heard shouting from one house that caught their attention, the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office said.
