Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced what he described as a “first-of-its-kind” task force to fight the exploitation of immigrant workers in New York.

“Other states are nervous about immigration. They want to build fences, they want to build walls,” Cuomo said at a Bronx press conference. “This is how we treat immigrants.”

The new task force will focus on 14 industries, including car washes and restaurants.
