Both Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio turned up Thursday to address a breakfast meeting of the New York delegation — but only Cuomo took the microphone.
The breakfast began at 8:30 am and Cuomo, who is engaged in a monumental feud with the mayor, spoke about a half-hour later without ever acknowledging de Blasio at a front-row table. Ironically, Cuomo spoke about the importance of building bridges for the sake of unity.
Hizzoner was spotted chowing down and texting on a flip phone during Cuomo’s remarks before bolting for another scheduled event.
“I didn’t realize the timing was getting tight for him,” said state party director Basil Smikle.
