Gobble, gobble, pedal, pedal!
Mechanical engineer Bret Lobree and seven pals did the “Turkey Ride” in San Francisco earlier this week, bicycling all over Baghdad by the Bay and following a 50.5-mile path mapped in the outline of Thanksgiving’s yummy bird.
Lobree, 41, used GPS-based technology to plan the intricate journey – but still used an old-fashioned map for his initial “Turkey Ride” on Monday.
“Ironically, I draw with GPS but I have to hold a paper make to help navigate,” he told ABC News.
The four-hour journey took Lobree and his pals through some of San Francisco’s prettiest and most varied neighborhoods such as the Castro, the artsy Latino Mission district, counterculture Haight-Ashbury and ritzy Pacific Heights.
Lorbee takes requests and has mapped out San Francisco bike journeys shaped like a cat, Halloween-themed jack-o-lantern and a heart for a man proposing to his wife.
