CAMDEN, S.C. — A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged with killing his girlfriend.
Kershaw County Chief Deputy Jack Rushing said in a news release that 28-year-old Alexander Francis Harmon of Camden was arrested and charged with murder Saturday morning after his father called from New York to report the crime.
Rushing said Harmon’s father said his son had told him he had shot and killed his girlfriend and was threatening to kill himself.
Rushing said deputies found 19-year-old Katelin Jordyn Crocker dead from a gunshot wound in Harmon’s home. Investigators say the two had lived together from time to time.
A .12 gauge shotgun was recovered from the home.
It was not known if Harmon has an attorney yet.
