A dancer had to have both her legs amputated after her tour boat exploded in the Bahamas, family members said.

Stefanie Schaffer, 22, had been vacationing in the islands with her family when the tour boat they were on burst into flames Saturday off the coast of Exuma.

The Vermont victim remained in critical condition in an induced coma at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau on Monday following the blast, her brother George told ABC News.

The recent Coastal Carolina University graduate had danced “her whole childhood,” he said.

A relative told the Daily Mail that Schaffer isn’t aware of the extent of her injuries yet.

“The scary thing is Stefanie doesn’t know that she’s lost her legs, and that’s what really upsets me,” the relative said.

“She’s going to wake up from this coma and realize, ‘I don’t have legs.’ It’s breaking my heart.”

Schaffer’s mother, Stacey, also sustained serious injuries, while her sister Brooke and stepdad, Paul Bender, suffered cuts and bruises.

An unidentified American woman was killed in the blast.

According to a post on his Facebook, George took off for the Bahamas on Sunday to be with his family.

“Hang in there Stef I’m on my way,” he wrote.
