A dancer who lost part of her leg in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings was hit by a car over the weekend — and said she was left “completely broken.”

Adrianne Haslet posted a grim photo of herself on Sunday wearing a neck brace while lying on a hospital gurney.

“Struck by a car on Commonwealth Avenue, while on a crosswalk,” she wrote in the post on Instagram. “Thrown into the air and landed, crushing the left side of my body. Yesterday. I’m completely broken. More surgery to come.”

The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Boston police spokesman Officer Stephen McNulty told the Boston Herald. He added that the “dark and rain might have been contributing factors.”

The driver, an adult male, remained on scene and was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk, McNulty said.

Haslet, 38, a professional ballroom dancer, was among more than 260 people who were injured when a pair of bombs went off during the April 2013 marathon. She was cheering on friends when the second bomb detonated. The terror attacks killed three people.
