Dash camera video shows a Florida cop being dragged at least 100 yards by a speeding SUV before being flung to the ground — a chaotic ordeal that left the driver shot in the leg and charged with attempted murder.
Seminole County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Blais initially laughed and joked with suspect Rocky Rudolph Jr., 38, after pulling him over for illegal window tints in Heathrow on Saturday, his bodycam footage showed.
“How’s it going this morning, bro?” Rudolph asked with a smile, with the officer replying, “Living the dream.”
But the traffic stop turned ugly a few minutes in when the deputy said he could smell marijuana and asked Rudolph to switch off his engine, assuring him, “It’s no big deal.”
The suspect grew highly agitated — and instead hit the gas, leaving the screaming deputy clinging to the car and desperately reaching for his gun, the video showed.
“Stop! Stop! Stop!” Blais screamed, pointing his gun at Rudolph and ordering, “Put your hands up! Put your f—ing hands up!”

Other motorists stopped to help the deputy, who was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later discharged.
Police said Blais shot Rudolph in the leg during the chaos.
“I don’t know how many rounds were fired into the car, but it was probably not enough,” Sheriff Dennis Lemma said at a press conference, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Lemma said he was “absolutely convinced that Rudolph was reaching for his gun” during the incident, with witnesses claiming he threw it in some bushes.
Rudolph’s car spun out and he fled on foot. He was busted following an eight-hour manhunt and is now facing charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault, Lemma said.
