Among the many tributes and well-wishes pouring in for David Ortiz was one from his own son, 14-year-old D’Angelo, who wrote, “Pops I Love u.”

“There is nobody stronger then u it’s only a matter of days till ur up running around doing ur thing again I love u pops endlessly and everybody is praying for you right now love you,” the youngster posted on Instagram on Monday along with a photo of his dad.

On Monday, D’Angelo was seen sitting in a vehicle outside the Santo Domingo clinic where his father was treated after a drive-by shooting that led doctors to remove his gallbladder and part of his intestine.

Big Papi, who also has two older children, was later flown to Boston and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
