Tourists in Times Square blindsided by 'day of jihad' protests: 'Just wanted to go to M&M store!'

By Steven Vago and Patrick Reilly

Friday's "day of jihad" demonstrators stunned Big Apple tourists, who were caught off-guard by the blocks-long protests.

Bjoern Rolf arrived in the city three days ago along with his wife and two children, ages 6 and 10.

They were visiting Times Square when the demonstrators stormed through the famous crossroads.

The Zurich native told The Post he was “a little bit shocked” at the experience.“We just wanted to go to the M&M store!” he said, adding, “We didn’t expect this would be here."

Pro-Palestine demonstrators burn Israeli flag across from UN

By Steven Vago and Patrick Reilly

Three pro-Palestine demonstrators in New York City lit an Israeli flag on fire Friday evening while chanting “Allahu Akbar” as the “day of jihad” protest began to wind down, video shows.

The protesters were filmed igniting the flag at the conclusion of the Midtown protest march at the Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, across from the United Nations, while shouting the phrase that translates to “God is great."

Others can be heard egging them on, with one person saying, “Oh hell yeah,” before the flag goes up in flames.

Thousands of pro-Palestine supporters swarm NYC, face off with Israel backers on global ‘day of Jihad’

Thousands of pro-Palestine demonstrators swarmed Manhattan streets Friday afternoon — as an Israeli contingent a fraction of its size pushed back — the same day an ex-Hamas leader issued a rallying cry for a global “day of Jihad.”

Helicopters whirled overhead as the protest began on CUNY’s Baruch College campus — starting with a group of about 100 — with the protesters taking part in the Friday afternoon call to prayer, observed by practicing Muslims.

Then cries of “Free, Free Palestine!” rang out in the crowd.

Brick hurled at ‘doxxing truck’ at Harvard that named students who blamed Israel for Hamas attacks

By Shannon Thaler

An enraged crowd near Harvard University hurled expletives – and a brick – at a “doxxing truck” circling the campus Friday morning to expose students who allegedly signed a letter blaming Israel for last weekend’s Hamas attack, The Post has learned.

Adam Guillette – the president of the nonprofit news watchdog Accuracy in Media that deployed the vehicle – said the rowdy mob blocked the female driver of the digital billboard-bearing box truck and began “banging on the windows, shouting things at the driver.”

When Accuracy in Media's "doxxing truck" took to campus on Thursday, someone lashed out by crossing out HarvardHatesJews.com in spray paint. The site leads to a forum to send an email to Harvard’s board of trustees.

“Once you get out of that truck I’m going to kick your f–king ass!'” one person allegedly yelled at the driver, Guillette exclusively told The Post.

NY Young Republican Club chair on 'day of jihad' commute: 'I'm not living my life in fear'

By Kaydi Pelletier

Political commentator Justine Murray took to X on her morning commute to condemn calls from a longtime former Hamas leader for a "day of jihad" Friday.

Murray, who is also a New York Young Republican Club committee chairman, said she had just gotten into the city from New Jersey, even though "apparently, I'm not supposed to go to work today because some fourth-century brother-husbands want me dead."

She said in the video that multiple "well-meaning people" had told her this week that she shouldn't wear her "star," referring to the Star of David necklace she had on.

"I'm not doing that," Murray said defiantly, "because I'm not gonna live my life in fear and neither should you."

"I refuse to be conquered by 4th century brother-husbands," she wrote on the post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Friday at 9:20 a.m. "Take your Jihad Day and shove it."

9/11-era NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani — once celebrated as “America’s mayor” for his leadership after the 2001 attacks, who was indicted in August for his work helping former president Donald Trump try to overturn the 2020 election — replied, in part, "Be careful my dear friend!"
