The death toll in Northern California’s devastating Camp Fire rose to 63 on Thursday — with a staggering 631 people reported missing.

The Butte County Sheriff’s office gave the grim update in Calfornia’s deadliest forest fire as officials found the remains of seven more victims.

Sheriff Kory Honea said he would make the list of missing public so people can see if they are on it and contact authorities. Honea also asked relatives of the missing to submit DNA samples to help them identify bodies as they are found.

The update came as cooler temperature moved into the region, allowing firefighters to contain 40 percent of the blaze.

However, the fire has already consumed 140,000 acres and destroyed nearly 12,000 structures.
