This Delta flight to the Big Apple really took it on the nose.

The Airbus A319 was carrying 43 passengers from Palm Beach, Florida, to LaGuardia Airport when it was diverted to JFK on Monday after reporting a mechanical problem, the airline told The Post.

It landed safely with its nose bent out of shape by a bird just before 7 p.m.

“Delta flight 1076 operating from West Palm Beach to New York-LaGuardia diverted to New York-JFK out of an abundance of caution following a mechanical issue. The flight landed safely and without incident and maintenance is evaluating the aircraft,” an airline spokeswoman said.

The airline initially said the damage was the result of a bird strike, but it later indicated that hail also may have caused the giant dent.

Airliners’ nose cones also are known as radomes, which protect radar equipment.

The FAA is investigating the midair incident.
