Democratic candidates gathered in San Francisco Saturday to shmooze at the state party’s annual convention — and bicker among themselves over the best way to unseat President Trump.

At one point, the gathering became a referendum on socialism.

Former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper earned boos and jeers by announcing, “If we want to beat Donald Trump . . . socialism is not the answer.”

Taking the stage next, Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee took a shot at Hickenlooper, insisting, “I’m a governor who doesn’t think we should be ashamed of our progressive values–” earning cheers, the Los Angeles Times reported.
