Nevada democrat Jacky Rosen won a Senate seat against Republican incumbent Dean Heller — flipping the only Senate seat of the night for Democrats.

Rosen, a political newcomer, held more than 52 percent of the vote compared with Heller’s 43 percent in results late Tuesday night.

Heller had embraced President Trump late in the race, even joking during a rally with Trump that “everything you touch turns to gold.”

The Nevada seat was the only Senate race that Democrats could successfully win from Republicans.

The GOP flipped a total of five Senate seat after losing the House in a so-called wave of Democratic voters.
