WASHINGTON — Top Democrats are worried that Anthony Weiner’s X-rated mayoral campaign could be dangerous to the entire party’s image — and might even hurt Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic front-runner for president in 2016, through her connection to his wife, Huma Abedin.

Jim Manley, a Democratic consultant who was a top aide to Sens. Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid, told The Post that Weiner’s continued candidacy “could be a ticking time bomb threatening the whole Clinton brand.”
“The very fact that he’s continuing to run is going to continue to put the Clintons in a tough position. This guy is a mini-weapon of mass destruction ready to blow up at any second,” he added.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi unloaded on Weiner yesterday. “The conduct of some of these people we’re talking about here is reprehensible. It’s so disrespectful of women,” Pelosi said.
Abedin, 36, is heading Hillary Clinton’s transition office and has been aggressively courting the Clinton donor network for her randy hubby’s campaign.
“She’s clearly calling a lot of the Clinton network around the country,” said one Democratic source.
