The body of a missing Aussie dentist was found stuffed inside a suitcase in her car — a day after her former boyfriend was killed in what police say was a deliberate car crash, according to reports.

Dr. Preethi Reddy, 32, had been reported missing by her family after she attended a dental conference in St. Leonards, where she spent Sunday in a hotel room with her ex, Harshwardhan Narde, 34, also a dentist, news.com.au reported.

Surveillance video showed her leaving a McDonald’s in Sydney, apparently alone, around 2:15 a.m., 7 News Australia reported.

Police found her car parked on a street in Kingsford and discovered Reedy’s body in a suitcase. She had been stabbed “numerous times,” police said.

Meanwhile, Narde was killed in a car crash Monday near Tamworth after he drove his BMW head-on into the path of a tractor-trailer whose driver escaped seconds before it burst into flames.

Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate said police had questioned Narde while Reddy was still the subject of a missing person’s investigation.

He said investigators were unsure where and when Reddy was slain, but were working on the probability that she was fatally stabbed at the hotel.

“We are still working on the timeline of events and that’s why we need the public to come forward with any information they have,” Dengate said.

A colleague who attended the dental conference said he last saw the pair talking in the hotel lobby after the event.

“They looked happy and stayed back to chat after the conference ended at 7 p.m.,” he said.

“I knew they were in a long-term relationship, many of us did,” he added. “The bizarre thing I noticed that night was that he took down his Facebook shortly after the conference. It made me wonder why.”

Police believe that Narde traveled the 250 miles from Tamworth to St Leonards for the conference with the sole purpose of seeing his former girlfriend, with whom he had a tumultuous on-again, off-again, long-distance relationship for several years.

Meanwhile, Reddy’s sister described her sibling as a “bright light,” according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

In a statement issued Wednesday night, Nithya Reddy said “words cannot capture the pain we are feeling with the passing of my beautiful big sister.”

She added: “Preethi was a bright light; lovable, kind and protective of all whom were lucky enough to have been loved and cared for by her.

“Prior to this unthinkable event, she had been the happiest I’d ever seen her — she was living her best life,” she added.
