Forget about the Bern. He’s feeling the pop!
A portly DNC staffer has the best or most thankless job to close down the party convention: popping the hundreds of balloons left on the floor of the arena.
A hilarious CNN iReport shows the balloon buster in action, using a boxcutter, which spurred outcry and amusement.
“*Informercial voice* THERE’S GOT TO BETTER WAY!” tweeted user @StoneErnie.
CNN wrote, “This man may have had the best job at #DemConvention.”
Another user said, “He needs an automatic pellet gun.”
User @Gabdate wrote: “Someone’s gotta do it. Be glad it’s not you! LOL.”
Some respondents said they hoped the guy was earning a living wage.
Ernie Stone, a like Sanders supporter, tweeted: “15.00 dollars an hour.”
Others were simply aghast by how many balloons there were.
“For real, what’s the balloon budget for these conventions? Also, I want the job of popping all the ballons,” tweeted Allie Hendricks.
An environmental advocate said, “”Humanity deserves what it gets. We are so wasteful and have trashed our planet.”
