CLEVELAND — A former Cleveland-area judge and state lawmaker charged in the fatal stabbing of his ex-wife is scheduled in court on aggravated murder and other charges.
Lance Mason’s arraignment Tuesday is in Cuyahoga County court, where he was a judge before he was imprisoned nine months for assaulting his then-wife several years ago.
A woman at the office of Mason’s attorney, Fernando Mack, said Mack had no comment.
The 51-year-old Mason was taken into custody after authorities found Aisha Fraser dead Nov. 17 at a Shaker Heights home. Mason’s sister told a 911 dispatcher that Mason stabbed Fraser.
Mason has been in custody on a felonious assault charge for a subsequent crash into a police cruiser as he allegedly fled.
He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
