Germaphobes in China are resorting to walking through insane-looking “disinfection passages” amid the coronavirus outbreak, according to a report.

The futuristic tunnel in Shanghai has the ability to kill 99 percent of viruses within 20 seconds in an effort to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, according to the Latin America News Agency.

Footage shows people entering a haze of disinfectant spray to protect themselves against the illness, which broke out in December in Wuhan.

The new virus has killed at least 1,107 people in China and infected more than 43,000 people worldwide.

Health officials have said there’s no known cure, but viruses can generally be avoided by washing one’s hands and avoiding touching one’s eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands; or avoiding coming in to close contact with infected people.
