A man tried to kidnap a female dog-walker in Chicago — but had his plot foiled when the victim’s canine took a nip out of him, cops said.
The 23-year-old victim was walking her pup in the Ford City neighborhood on the southwest side of the city around 9:30 a.m. Sunday when a strange man tried to strike up a conversation with her, according to police.
The suspect offered the woman a piece of candy, which she refused and started walking away, according to the report. Then he approached her from behind, grabbed her and placed a white rag over her mouth, cops said.
Before he could do anything else, the dog bit him, allowing her to escape with her pooch.
The would-be abductor fled through a parking lot and took off in a white van without a license plate, police said.
