A federal appeals court on Monday rejected the Justice Department’s request to put the appeal of President Trump’s travel ban on hold, Reuters reported on Monday.
The administration is creating a new order to address concerns of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The court had refused to overturn a temporary restraining order issued by a federal judge in Seattle that stopped the order after it caused chaos at airports across the US.
The administration appealed the Ninth Circuit’s decision, but later asked that it be withdrawn as it was preparing the new executive order.
