“Doomsday Mom” and convicted killer Lori Vallow Daybell has been implicated in an alleged plot to kill her niece’s former husband, court documents revealed this week.

Vallow Daybell, 49, was convicted last week of murder and conspiracy related to the deaths of her daughter Tylee Ryan, 16, son Joshua “J.J.” Vallow, 7, and her husband Chad Daybell’s late wife, Tammy.

In February 2022, Vallow Daybell was also indicted by a grand jury in Maricopa County, Arizona on a charge of conspiracy to commit the first-degree murder of her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux, FOX 10’s Justin Lum reported on Tuesday.

The indictment, which remains sealed, alleges that Vallow Daybell and her brother, Alex Cox, agreed that “at least one of them or another would engage in conduct constituting the offense of first degree premeditated murder” on Oct. 2, 2019, Lum said.

Police claim that Cox – who died of natural causes in Dec. 2019 – shot at Boudreaux and tried to kill him outside of his Gilbert home that same day, the East Idaho News reported

Boudreaux was married to Vallow Daybell’s niece, Melanie Pawlowski, at the time of the alleged failed hit.

“The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has made the state of Idaho aware of our intent to prosecute the defendant in Arizona for charges stemming from these submittals,” the Maricopa County’s Attorney’s Office told the outlet.

It is not immediately clear what the possible motivations were to kill Boudreaux, or whether Vallow Daybell has entered a plea for the new charge.

Boudreaux testified against Vallow Daybell during her six-week trial this spring. J.J. Vallow’s grandparents also referenced Boudreaux’s case outside the Boise courthouse following Vallow Daybell’s conviction last week, CBS News reported.

“Guys, we got two more trials,” Larry Woodcock reminded the public.

“Three,” Kay Woodcock corrected.

Vallow Daybell is also still facing charges in Arizona in connection with the death of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, who was gunned down by Cox in July 2019.

Cox claimed self-defense and was never charged based on the incident, PEOPLE said.

Under Arizona law, CBS explained, indictments are sealed until the defendant can be served the document.

Vallow Daybell cannot be extradited to Arizona until after she is sentenced in the Idaho case later this year.

In addition to the murder charges, she was also found guilty of grand theft.
