A driver crashed into an exterior gate at the White House on Monday night, officials said.
The collision took place around 6 p.m. and the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, according to Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
“We are investigating the cause & manner of the collision,” Guglielmi said in a statement
The crash occurred around 6 pm on Monday.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody. APPresident Biden was not at the White House at the time of the incident.
The crash caused traffic delays at 15th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue.
