An “armed and dangerous” Tennessee man, who was wanted in connection with the double murder of two fellow duck hunters, was found dead Saturday.

David Vowell, 70, was found dead in Reelfoot Lake, near the scene of the double homicide, according to ABC11.

Chance Black, 26, and Zachery Grooms, 25, were at the lake in rural northwest Tennessee on Monday when Vowell approached them and got into an argument, prosecutors told ABC.

It’s unclear if the duck hunters had a prior relationship.

Vowell allegedly then opened fire and killed the duo, officials said.

He fled the shooting scene on foot, leaving behind his boat and car.

Vowell’s body was found Saturday afternoon. An autopsy will be conducted to determine how he died, the local station reports

In a Twitter post last week, authorities said they were canvasing the large, swampy remote area near the Missouri and Kentucky borders for the armed double murder suspect.
