Sex-crazed former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has joined the exodus of Democratic pols from Current TV in the wake of its purchase by Al Jazeera.

The love gov, who left office in 2008 amid a prostitution scandal and who has been working intermittently as a political commentator, gave up his gig hosting the liberal-leaning channel’s prime-time show “Viewpoint,” Spitzer told The Post via e-mail.

Spitzer, an ex-CNN host who is thought to harbor ambitions of a political comeback, had the Current TV job for less than a year.

He had been hired to replace Keith Olbermann, who was booted from the network.

“Until further notice the show will be hosted by John Fugelsang,” added Current TV spokeswoman Laura Nelson, referring to the comedian and commentator.

California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and Michigan ex-Gov. Jennifer Granholm have also quit the network.
