Dramatic video shows emergency workers and civilians hiding from a fusillade of gunfire in Panama City, Fla., on Tuesday.

Shooting suspect Kevin Robert Holroyd, 49, barricaded himself inside an apartment complex as police surrounded the area and tried to put an end to his rampage, according to Florida’s WTXL-TV.

A terrified neighbor filmed video of his shootout with cops as a volley of the gunfire can be heard in the background.

Holroyd was later found dead inside the apartment.

The suspect doused the apartment with gasoline in an attempt to set it on fire, according to My Palm Beach Post.

He engaged in a tense standoff with police after firing a number of rounds from the building.

Cops believe he was connected to the death of a person in nearby Santa Rosa, the paper said.

Out of an abundance of caution, nearby schools and a grocery store were evacuated.
