The Minnesota man charged with tossing a 5-year-old boy from a third-floor balcony at the Mall of America pleaded guilty to attempted murder Tuesday.

Emmanuel Aranda, 24, faces 19 years behind bars after admitting to grabbing little Landen Hoffmann, hefting him up and throwing him nearly 40 feet to the floor of the sprawling shopping center — leaving the child with head trauma and multiple broken bones.

Aranda previously told authorities that he’d chosen Landen at random, after going to the Minnesota mall “looking for someone to kill” in a rage fueled by years of rejection by women.

He nearly succeeded, but Landen’s family said two weeks after the nightmarish attack that their son was “alert and conscious” and no longer in critical condition.

Aranda took the plea in exchange for prosecutors not pursuing an aggravated circumstances component, which could have tacked another year onto his sentence.

Aranda spoke little in his court appearance, providing only yes and no answers when asked if he understood what he was admitting.

He’s scheduled to be sentenced on June 3, according to Fox News.
