A McDonald’s in Leicester, England, has taken on a new purpose: providing drive-thru COVID-19 tests.

“This week McDonald’s handed over use of its Meridian Business Park Drive-Thru in Leicester for use by DHU Healthcare for COVID-19 testing for NHS workers,” a McDonald’s spokesman told The Sun. “Despite restaurants remaining closed, employees and franchisees have continued serving their local communities and supporting national organizations, helping those that need it the most.”

The fast-food chain’s stores have been shuttered in the United Kingdom as the country fights to flatten the curve of the deadly pandemic.

So far, more than 20,000 people have died from the virus in the UK, with at least another 148,377 infections reported. The pandemic has spared no one, hitting cabinet ministers as well as Prince Charles. Prime Minister Boris Johnson became severely ill after contracting the virus and spent several days hospitalized in intensive care.
