One of LA’s poshest grocery stores is offering up a bizarre twist on a winter classic this holiday season … a hot chocolate made from bone broth.

The latest seasonal drink from Erewhon — sometimes known as LA’s most unhinged celebrity market — is a Spicy Bone Broth Hot Chocolate for $11 a cup. It’s also free for members who are able to cash-in on a complimentary drink once a month.

The featured drink is a collaboration with FOND Regenerative, a bone broth company that boasts the healing effects of bone broth on the digestive system.

The drink uses FOND’s beef ginger broth, cayenne, coconut milk, maple syrup, cacao powder, and cinnamon. And while some like it, the result has also been called “vomitous.”

“Hi guys. Influencer here,” Ginger Gonzaga posted to her Instagram, in a comedic video, naming herself an Erewhon influencer.

“I just went to Erewhon to get my monthly free drink because I’m a member, and it is a bone broth hot chocolate,” Gonzaga says in the video holding the Erewhon black to-go cup.

“I know what you are thinking. Bone broth plus cayenne pepper plus chocolate — that sounds f—king disgusting, and I’m here to tell you, you’re wrong,” she continued.

“It’s actually vomitous. It is vomit. It is bile in a cup and sold for $11, or free if you are a member,” Gonzaga said.

In a comment next to the video, she made it clear she “actually loves Erewhon, but…”

A fresh batch of the signature hot cocoa had to be drummed up at the Beverly Hills Erewhon around 2 p.m. Tuesday when The Post went to grab a cup of the elixir.

“It’s disgusting,” warned the beverage bar cashier. “I tried it and it’s not for me,” the worker said, adding that members get it for free but many opt for regular hot chocolate sans broth.

As for how it tastes — imagine a mildly-chocolate batch of hot cocoa mixed with some ginger, and then a bit of a spicy zing at the end.

Bone broth hot chocolate has already been circulating on social media, where wellness fans are making DIY versions to harness its healing benefits — some ending up with drinks that are less than savory and others saying that it “actually” tastes good.

“Bone broth is a traditional nutrient revered by different people from ancient times to the modern era as a remedy for various illnesses,” states the National Library of Medicine.

The limited-time Erewhon drink is available through the end of December.
