ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man has been charged in the stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend at a home in South Carolina.
Police tell the Herald of Rock Hill that 26-year-old Jefferson Quinde-Quishpi was charged Wednesday with murder and weapons possession.
Authorities say they found 25-year-old Marandy Jade Brandon stabbed to death at a Rock Hill home on Sept. 18. Police say they found Quinde-Quishpi in a bedroom, stabbing himself in the chest with a butcher knife.
Capt. Mark Bollinger says Quinde-Quishpi was arrested after he was released from the hospital. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
The day Brandon was found dead, authorities say Quinde-Quishpi was out on bond for two recent domestic violence charges and didn’t show up for a hearing that could have put him back in jail.
