Ghislaine Maxwell tearfully complained that she “hated” Jeffrey Epstein but couldn’t leave him, according to an ex-staffer.
Epstein’s former butler Juan Alessi claimed on the new podcast “Broken: Seeking Justice” that Maxwell would “come out crying” because she was so anguished over her life with the convicted pedophile.
“I hate him, but … I can’t leave,” Alessi claimed the British socialite would sob when he asked her why she was “staying with this guy.”
“I was like, ‘Why? You have money,'” Alessi said — seemingly never getting an explanation from the accused madam.
Alessi made the revelation to longtime Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre, whom the podcast has followed as she confronts some of those who knew her during her time as the disgraced financier’s alleged sex slave.
Giuffre agreed with the former housekeeper that the relationship between Epstein and Maxwell was “confusing.”
Maxwell, 58, is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on charges of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse young women.
Epstein, 66, hanged himself in his Manhattan lockup in August 2019 while facing serious sex charges.
