Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg denied he was drunk Monday during one of the several erratic cable news appearances he made following his decision to refuse a federal subpoena.

Nunberg was being interviewed on CNN for the second time in a matter of hours when host Erin Burnett broached the topic of the political consultant’s health and mental state of mind.

“I have smelled alcohol on your breath,” Burnett said while sitting just a few feet away from the Trump campaign adviser.

Nunberg replied: “Well, I have not had a drink.”

Burnett then pressed Nunberg on any possible drug use, echoing accusations about him that circulating from the White House.

“Anything else?” She asked.

“No. Besides my meds — anti-depressants. Is that OK?” Nunberg admitted.

The former consultant is refusing to obey a subpoena from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

During his day-long media tour, he has joked about going to jail while disparaging many people in and out of the White House.
