Facebook banned a prominent neo-Nazi from its site, in addition to removing several white-supremacist pages in response to Saturday’s deadly Virginia protest.
The company said Wednesday it removed self-described fascist Christopher Cantwell from both Facebook and Instagram because he uses the platforms to spread racism.
Cantwell’s hateful views and his role in the protest is featured in a new Vice documentary.
Facebook also took down the pages at least eight others connected to the white-nationalist movement for violating company policy on hate speech.
